About Ekta
Epistemic infrastructure for the information age. A public square rebuilt for accuracy.
Who we are
Ekta is a news and discourse platform built to optimise for accuracy and accountability, not engagement. We publish fact-checked long-form journalism, brief reports, and short-form discussion — all subject to our AI review pipeline and reputation system. We are not neutral on the question of whether facts exist. We are neutral on questions where the evidence is genuinely contested.
Our mission
The information environment is broken. Platforms reward outrage over accuracy, speed over verification, and virality over substance. Ekta is an attempt to build something different: a place where the cost of being wrong is built into the system, where the incentives align with the truth, and where readers can trust what they read.
Ownership and funding
Ekta is independently owned and operated by a solo founder. There is no external investment, no venture capital, and no editorial board answerable to a parent company. Revenue comes from reader subscriptions and creator monetisation. No advertiser has any influence over editorial decisions.
How Ekta works
Every long-form article and brief passes through a ten-agent AI review pipeline before it reaches readers. The pipeline checks factual claims against sources, scores for bias and rhetorical manipulation, assesses source quality, and flags omissions. Articles that clear the pipeline automatically publish; those that do not go to weighted human reviewers. The Public Square uses a reputation-weighted scoring system rather than engagement-velocity ranking.
